Beginning her career as a volunteer at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Billings, MT, during high school, she demonstrated a commitment to patient care early on. Hallie pursued her passion for nursing by working at Westpark Village Assisted Living while completing her nursing education, graduating with an ASN degree from Montana State University in 1996.
Hallie has showcased her clinical expertise and dedication to patient well-being throughout her career. Her tenure at The Woodwell Nursing Home in Pittsburgh, PA, allowed her to excel as an RN charge nurse in a skilled nursing facility, gaining proficiency in a wide range of clinical procedures and geriatric care. She furthered her education by obtaining a BSN from MSU in 1998, concurrently working at Deaconess Medical Center, where she specialized in medical oncology, obtaining certification and managing complex chemotherapy regimens and critical care scenarios.
Returning to St. Vincent’s Hospital, Hallie broadened her experience by working in Orthopedics and Surgery Plus, where she handled pre-surgery preparation and recovery and provided relief across multiple departments. Her commitment to patient care led her to retire briefly in 2013 before returning to the field as an RN/PRN at Welch Cancer Center in Sheridan, WY. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Hallie Schauer volunteered full-time in the COVID Testing Center during times of crisis. She supported various community initiatives, including organizing fundraising events for patient assistance programs and participating in Relay for Life walks and golf tournaments.
