Forest Brooke Plumbing and Heating

The Bureau of Consumer Credit Protection (BCCP) received a complaint from of Richmond, Maine concerning an issue with an oil burner and hot water tank project from John Knowles d/b/a Forest Brooke Plumbing and Heating of Monmouth, Maine which the BCCP does not have jurisdiction. Therefore, we request that the Office of the Attorney General handle the complaint. The attached complaint from the consumer outlines the nature of the dispute with the main issues being the quality of the work and whether the project met codes. 4 violations and many issues with job. Terrible, this company did a replacement of the heating system. There are several safety violations that have to be fixed. Look up John Knowles state licenses and you will see his discipline action for this which was only a slap on the hand in my opinion. He was paid almost 23k and we have had to put out another almost 6k already fixing his issues. All you have to do to verify is look up his state licenses. If he has done work for you I suggest you get it inspected. I was told by the inspector I couldn’t get oil delivered or my house could BLOW UP!! And this company just walks away and continues to do work for others, PLEASE do yourself a favor and hire someone else and also whoever does it, get it inspected. It’s free from the state of Maine.
