About Me
Jay Johannigman, M.D. is a Cincinnati-based trauma and critical care surgeon with over 40 years of experience. After receiving an AB degree in biology from Kenyon College, he earned his doctorate of medicine from Case Western Reserve University. During medical school, he served as president of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and was an honor student in pharmacology.
Dr. Johannigman was among the Cincinnati-trained elite Air Force medical teams, trained at the University of Cincinnati’s Medical Center. His volunteer work with these teams impacted over 5,600 military families, providing critical humanitarian service. His career also includes extensive military training, including the Aerospace Medicine Primary Course at Brooks AFB and graduation from the Air War College.
