Janet Holman Gillin has spent her career helping others. She has worked in child welfare, developmental disabilities, and job coaching, always focused on guiding people toward independence. Her legacy is one of service, compassion, and lasting impact.
From reuniting families in Kansas to closing Hissom Memorial Center in Oklahoma, Janet has been a key advocate for community-based care. As a job coach, she empowered adults with disabilities to thrive in the workplace. In Tennessee, she pioneered online learning for developmental disability services. A proud mother of five children and one stepchild, all successful in their careers, Janet continues to inspire through her dedication.

- Provided case management services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Played a key role in the closure of Hissom Memorial Center, assisting with the transition of residents into community-based programs.
- Collaborated with federal courts, legal teams, and DHS attorneys to ensure compliance with court mandates.
- Assisted in developing housing, service programs, and ongoing monitoring for individuals transitioning from institutional care.
